Rechnitzer Gallery represents and showcases a new generation of contemporary artists. Our aim is to provide a space for fresh, innovative voices and a platform for them both nationally and internationally.

The gallery was founded by Zsófia Rechnitzer in 2024. She is a professional in both the non-profit and commercial art worlds and has been an active participant in the Hungarian contemporary art scene since the early 2010s. After graduating in Art Theory from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, she continued her studies at the University of Warwick, History and Business of the Contemporary Art Market. Her work experience has given her extensive knowledge and insight into the global processes of contemporary art and the art market. In addition to the gallery that bears his name, he is the artistic director of Torula, a non-profit contemporary art exhibition space and studio in Győr.

The name of the gallery is also a tribute to Dr János Rechnitzer, Doctor of Geography and Professor Emeritus at Széchenyi István University, who was known for his passionate commitment to fine art as an art collector.
